New Reimbursement Regulations Allow the Use of MeU Care to Securely Capture Patient Information with Photos, Videos, Digital Surveys and Increase Revenue While Enhancing Access and Coordination of Care
California Expands Medicaid Coverage for Telehealth
Joining states across the country, California took a major step to encourage the use of telehealth technology and NOW reimburses for asynchronous photo and video sharing (store-and-forward) as well as real-time audio/video calls originating from the patient’s Home.
Specifically, California’s Updated Medi-Cal Medicaid program:
- Allows Medi-Cal providers to use either real-time audio/visual or the asynchronous sharing and review of photos and videos from the patients home
- Adds e-consult as a reimbursable asynchronous telehealth service
- Covers these services for previously excluded Federally Qualified health Centers (FQHCs) and Rural Health Clinics (RHCs)
A secure, multi-channel, multimedia communication platform designed to provide one-stop telehealth services that connect patients and providers across the care continuum, MeU Care appreciates these changes and the benefits they present to providers and patients alike.
MeU Care customers can now add increased revenue to the many benefits of using the platform!
