Several months ago, Gaudenzia, a national leader in behavioral health and recovery services, was asked by the City of Philadelphia as well as the District of Columbia behavioral health authorities to create a new set of services. The authorities requested Gaudenzia to develop an immediate treatment approach to serve Covid-19 positive and behavioral health clients in need of quarantine and treatment. Gaudenzia turned to MeU Care (a leading all-in-one virtual care and communications platform) to help meet this critical need. Gaudenzia asked MeU to partner and implement a cost-effective and rapid deployment of its platform. The result has been a successful and innovative way to address appropriate patient isolation with proactive virtual screenings and ongoing counseling and care for people facing multiple physical (Covid-19, Medication-Assisted Treatment) and behavioral health (mental health and substance use disorders) challenges and social determinant needs (homelessness).
Gaudenzia and MeU are pleased to be able to help during these challenging times. We will continue to roll out a model of virtual counseling and support for communities facing this complex issue. Interested parties can learn more at www.gaudenzia.org and www.meucare.com.
